Are you mad about cars?? Are you looking for a new challenge?? Are you authorised to carry out class 4 MOT’s?? If you can answer yes to these questions, then why not give us a call. We are currently looking for a Full Time Motor Vehicle Technician. You must be able to demonstrate that you have worked in the trade with qualifications/experience in the relevant areas, and show evidence that you can work effectively as part of a team.

We are all petrol heads at TLC, so you will be working with enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.

Our story so far

Created by the desire to provide the general public with a genuine alternative to main dealer facilities, The Little Car Clinic is here to make your life that little bit easier when your car needs a service, MOT or a bit of tlc to sort out a fault.

The Little Car Clinic strives to be different and we will always put you, the customer, first. We can offer collection and pick-up, the use of one of our courtesy cars, and we are also located just a 5 minute walk from Attleborough Station with fast links to Norwich and London. We also offer the revolutionary 'Shuttle Bus' which you can check out here. We aim to make minimal disruption to the already busy lives we lead!

The Little Car Clinic specializes in VAG Group vehicles, as well as Lotus, Lexus and well, anything really. We are a bunch of friendly petrol heads over at the clinic!

So, welcome to The Little Car Clinic, a new revolution in customer service and care for motor vehicle owners.

Meet the team

Darren Jenkins

Following a life long serious passion for cars, I chose to really do the ‘car thing’ by committing over 20 years of experience to create and develop the little car clinic. From my teenage days and a weeks work experience with the now re-born Team Lotus, I knew that cars were in my blood. After University I went back to Lotus Engineering as a Prototype Vehicle Tech and was very lucky to work on a secret project codenamed M1-11. This turned into the extraordinary Elise. After this, I then worked with GM, Toyota and Aston Martin to name a few, building, driving and testing prototypes with a fantastic team of enthusiasts. After becoming No1 Mechanic for the in-house Lotus Motor sport division I decided to move on in 2002 after being offered a position with RAC as a service patrol for Norwich Union Rescue. Five years on and a new position as a Dedicated Diagnostic Tech for VAG Group was offered to me. I worked with VAG Assistance for 4 years, trained by VAG in Milton Keynes. So why The Little Car Clinic? Put simply, I feel it is time to use all of the the knowledge and skills that I have gained over the last 20 years and I love people. And cars. So, come and see us, you wont regret it!

Silena Automotive

Simon Nash, the man behind Silena Automotive, is a great friend of the little car clinic and can only be described as a true font of knowledge where diagnostics are concerned.

The technical ability of Silena Automotive to overcome tuning issues is still regarded as some of the best in the industry and tlc is very happy to be able to use his facilities to add another string to our bow.

Rolling Road Tuning - (LPS 3000)

Using The Roller Dynamometer (LPS 3000) 4 wheel drive rolling road, Silena Autmotive can diagnose even the toughest of problems with a host of enabling features:

  • Wideband lambda mixture measurement now available (exhaust gas diagnostics air to fuel ratio)
  • OBD/EUBD compatible software
  • 2 pressure inputs (manifold and incoming air pressure
  • 4 channel analogue voltage and temperature input
  • Humidity Sensors (environmental factors for horsepower correction)

It also has variable load simulation options:

  • Driving simulation (simulates standard driving attributes)
  • Constant Load (set the simulation with a Constant Load)
  • Constant Speed (set the simulation with a Constant Speed)
  • Constant Engine RPM (set the simulation with a Constant RPM)
  • Constant Head ring speed

The database functionality of the Rolling Road will allow comparison of data for performance improvement over repeated runs.
